INITIAL CONSULTATION
SPECIAL OFFER!

I have discovered that most calls I get require only a short consultation to give the client the important information they need to proceed.  Many hesitate to contact me for this information for fear of getting a huge legal bill. WAIT NO MORE!

I now offer a full half hour of initial consultation for a flat fee of $50.  It must be paid in advance, but you can even use Paypal! Now, how's that for easy?  Here are the "rules."

  • I am licensed in Texas and Colorado. Please don't ask me to discuss matters from other states, as I am not permitted to do so.

  • I will first ask you for the names of all the parties involved to make sure we do not have a conflict of interest. If there is a conflict, we will tell you immediately and refund your consultation fee without obtaining any more information from you.

  • This consultation is just that - a consultation. By discussing your legal issue in this consultation, we are NOT agreeing to represent you and you may not consider us "your lawyer." We may give you general legal information (and this is usually enough to give the help you need) but will not provide specific legal advice. Should the consultation convince us both that formal representation is required, you will be asked to sign a letter of retainer before we begin working on the matter.

Now offering professional mediation services for equine-related disputes!

Many of the disputed matters on which I am consulted, while enormously important to those involved, do not justify the large expense that would be incurred by filing a lawsuit and pursuing the matter through the court system. Thus, many wronged individuals must decide whether to spend the money to litigate or let the matter go.

There should be an alternative. Now there is. For a small fraction of the cost of litigation, the disputing parties can bring the matter in for mediation where we will work together to reach a resolution that is satisfactory to all sides. This method requires that BOTH sides agree to attend the mediation and BOTH sides will share in the cost. If you are interested in pursuing this alternative to a lawsuit, please contact me.

Please note: Before you contact me by email, please review the following important considerations:

1. I am licensed in Texas and Colorado and cannot give legal advice with regard to the state laws of any other state.
2. While I welcome email inquiries in general, I cannot give legal advice by email to one who is not a client.
3. Merely sending me an email DOES NOT create an attorney-client relationship.  I must agree to represent you and we will enter into a written and signed contract for services.
4. PLEASE do not send me an email setting forth your "story." It could be that I am already representing the other side in this matter!
5. If you wish to discuss a particular case or set of facts, please email me to set up a time for a telephone conference.
