About Us

Lyn Francik

"Back in the 1960’s, long before most horsemen in the US had even heard of the sport, my European riding instructor invited his students to watch the few minutes of Olympic dressage shown on TV. It instantly hooked me, and I remember thinking it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! The desire to “do that” changed my life from that moment on, and more than forty years later, it still does."  Lyn Francik

Owner / Managers Lyn and Norm Francik

Lyn and Norm have been caring for and raising horses for more than 25 years. Lyn was a founder and first president of the Oklahoma Dressage Society, and is again serving on the board. Strong supporters of the sport, Lyn & Norm organize and host activities for riders at all levels at Last November Farm.

An involved horsewoman, Lyn has volunteered her time to many other equestrian organizations. She is a lifetime member and former Director of the GO Hunter-Jumper Show Board, and has been active in the Oklahoma Hunter Jumper Association, including service on the Board of Directors.

Lyn is an amateur rider, currently competing in dressage with homebred horses Fantasy and Gladstone. In the past, she was successful in the Amateur Owner jumper division, too. Lyn is a USDF Bronze medalist and an "L" dressage judge. She plans to continue with her dressage and sporthorse education and earn credentials as a USEF judge. Professionally, Lyn is a CPA and has worked for the State of Oklahoma since 1986.

Norm is an “accidental” horseman – he made the mistake of marrying a horsewoman! Over the years, Norm has quietly worked behind the scenes, taking care of the horses and being our all-around handyman. Norm recently retired from his “real” job, and now works full time on the farm. Thanks to Norm, the arena footing is impeccably maintained, and we rely on him to keep things running smoothly.

Dressage Instructor Dede Wasemiller

Last November Farm is pleased to be able to offer regular instruction with Dede Wasemiller. Dede, a USDF Silver medalist, has trained horses to Grand Prix, including her daughter’s Gulliver. Gulliver and Kristen earned the NAYRC Gold Medal in 1999 and the NAYRC Bronze Medal in 1997. Kristen also rode Gulliver to a USDF Gold Medal. Dede’s quiet and reasonable approach to teaching has brought many riders through the ranks from raw beginner to USDF medals.
